The El Cárcamo Sports Unit, in Hermosillo, became the perfect setting for the Saturday physical activation of the “To Live Better” challenge.

On this occasion, the participants enjoyed a pickleball session, a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.

Under the direction of teacher Marcia Merino, attendees practiced pickleball, learning coordination and force management techniques, strategies to improve their game.

With her dynamic and entertaining style, the teacher managed to keep all participants engaged and motivated, while they enjoyed physical activity, socializing between laughter and good times.

“Pickleball is a unique experience that combines fun and strategy. “It is a fascinating fusion of tennis, badminton and table tennis, played on a smaller court and with simplified rules, making it accessible to people of all ages and abilities,” he explained.

Merino emphasized the importance of teamwork and communication in pickleball.

“It is essential to coordinate with your playing partner to effectively cover the court and anticipate the opponent’s movements.

“Strategy and tactics are key to winning points and enjoying the game to the fullest.”

During the activation, Merino spoke about the fundamental aspects of the game, from the dimensions of the court to hitting techniques and game strategies.

“Unlike tennis, pickleball is played with a special paddle and a perforated ball, which allows for greater control and precision in each hit,” he noted.

At the end of the session, the participants expressed their gratitude to teacher Merino and the organizing team for providing them with such a fun and enriching morning, with the promise of returning for future activities.
