The deal would extend Smith’s contract through the 2028 season in return for $75 million.
A first-round pick of the Eagles in 2021, Smith was expected to play out the upcoming campaign on options on his NFL entry-level contract.
Accumulating more than 1,000 yards in the last two seasons, Smith has never caught fewer than 100 passes in a season and has established himself as a choice option for quarterback Jalen Hurts.
