Peruvian Delegation Finishes Fifth in Medal Table at I Bolivarian Youth Games Sucre 2024

The Peruvian delegation placed fifth in the medal table with 20 gold, 26 silver and 54 bronze medals.

With members of the Athlete Support Program (PAD) of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), the national delegation completed its participation in the I Bolivarian Youth Games Sucre 2024, with a total of 100 medals, which were divided into 20 gold, 26 silver and 54 bronze medals.

The contest took place in Bolivia from April 4 to 14 of this year, where we participated with 185 athletes in 24 sports.

Our country was fifth in the medal table. First was Colombia (179), followed by Venezuela (157), Chile (117), Ecuador (89). Bolivia finished sixth with 67, Panama seventh with 25 and Team ODEBO was last with a medal.

During the closing ceremony held at the Former Aniceto Arce Station, the Peruvian standard bearers were the wrestling athletes, Anthony Molina and Romina Garro.

Wrestling won 11 medals, taekwondo 9 medals, badminton 8 medals, weightlifting won 7 medals and squash won 6 medals.
