The Peruvian archery team had a great participation in the South American Championship (International South American Championship and World Ranking Event), held in Maricá (Brazil), winning two gold medals and four in total.
Beatriz Aliaga won two gold medals. The first in the Composite Bow Mixed Team together with Santiago Prado, after beating the local squad by 158 to 155 points.
While the second medal was obtained in the Women’s Individual Compound, after defeating Camila Harada (Brazil) by 140 to 138.
The other medals were bronze through the Composite Bow Women’s Team, made up of Nathaly Hermoza, Beatriz Aliaga and Violeta Escobedo, as well as the Compound Bow Men’s Team, made up of Marcos Rey, Santiago Prado and Juan Pablo Ramos.
The Peruvian delegation was accompanied by national coach Daniel Hilario.
