Paris Basketball Secures Spot in First European Final with Dominant Victory Over Le Mans

In three days, the Parisians will experience the first European final in their history, against Bourg-en-Bresse, on the strength of a crazy series of 17 consecutive victories, in all competitions. Before this 100% French final, the runners-up from Monaco in the Championship soundly beat Le Mans this Saturday (55-88), in Antarès, for the 28th day of Betclic Elite.

Paris Basketball was able to control a meeting from start to finish, where TJ Shorts (15 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists) and Mikael Jantunen (15 points) took the lead very quickly (14-19, 10th then 24-31, 15th ). The first was incisive on several occasions to widen the gap just before the break, when the second stunned the Manceaux with a 3-point shot at the buzzer (31-48, 20th).

Yet dominant in rebounding (37 against 42 shots), Le Mans, which remained on two consecutive successes against Roanne and Blois, two teams stuck at the bottom of the table, struggled to find solutions and address (2/22 at 3 points), facing the aggressiveness of the Parisians and will not succeed in coming back, despite the duo Dragan Apic (12 points) and William Howard (6 points and 8 rebounds). Like the hard-hitting Nadir Hifi (21 points), Paris will not give up (45-66, 30th) and inflicts another slap on the MSB, after the 112 to 71 in the first leg last September.
