The 2024 Paris Olympics will see Australia among the teams participating in basketball Group A, which however has decided to do without Ben Simmons. In fact, the former first choice in the 2016 NBA Draft was not included in the preliminary list of 22 players by coach Brian Goorjian. Ben Simmons has not worn his national team jersey since 2013, having also given up taking part in the Australian expedition to the Tokyo Olympic Games.
However, the Australian preliminary roster boasts the presence of players of the caliber of Dante Exum, Josh Giddey, Joe Ingles, Patty Mills and in total there are 10 NBA players.
