Paris 2024 Olympic Games: from the rooftop to the ground floor, the blue-white-red dream of the Olympic village is taking shape

France had the chance, as host country, to reserve its place at the athletes’ village in Seine-Saint-Denis first, from April 2021. “At the time, we were practically on plans”, says remembers André-Pierre Goubert, high level director at the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF). To find the ideal place, the distance from catering points or transport was studied. The choice fell on the Étoile sector, south of the village.

The three buildings overlook the Finot mall, one of the arteries leading to the Seine, and are located six minutes from the Maison de la performance entirely dedicated to France. The Blues will have use of two of them (9 and 10 floors respectively) and will occupy four floors of the third building, which they will therefore share with another European delegation.
