Paris 2024 Olympic Games: former Games ambassador Émilie Gomis supports Iran after attack on Israel

Émilie Gomis is talking about her again. Ousted from the Athletes’ Commission of the French Olympic Committee (CNOSF) then resigned from her role as ambassador for the Paris 2024 Games after reposting controversial messages on her social networks on October 9 about the Israel-Hamas war, the former French basketball player spoke again on the geopolitical theme.

Gomis no longer holds a position in French sport

Summoned by the Paris judicial police in February as part of an investigation opened for advocating terrorism by the Paris prosecutor’s office, the 40-year-old former sportswoman admitted “an error”, while denouncing “relentlessness”.

Émilie Gomis was removed from the CNOSF athletes’ commission on January 2, 2024 before resigning from her role as ambassador for the Paris 2024 Games “for the sake of appeasement”. She no longer holds any position in French sport.
