Pardubice in the final of the extra league after 12 years. They did not lose a match in the series with Litvínov

Despite a two-goal deficit, the hockey players of Pardubice won the fourth game of the semi-final series of the extra league play-off against Litvínov, and thanks to the 6:5 victory, they advanced to the fight for gold after 12 years. They have been waiting just as long for the title. The North Bohemians finish fourth.

Favored Dynamo, who will improve on last year’s bronze medal, lost 1:3 today after the first period on the Litvínov ice, when David Kaše shone with two goals and an assist. However, in the second half, the guests turned the game around with four goals. The winning goal was scored by Richard Pánik, who increased the score to 6:3 at the end of the 51st minute.

Pardubice have to wait for their final opponent. In the series between Sparta and the reigning champion Třinec, the people of Prague lead 2:0 after the home games.

The Litvinians had an excellent start to the match. Ondřej Kaše won the puck after a mistake by the guests while still in the offensive zone, quickly found his brother David and he shot past Will from close range. In the fifth minute, Baránek had to go to the penalty bench, although the home team defended themselves, but in the eighth minute Mandát overcame goalkeeper Tomek and equalized.

In the 14th minute, Hájek and Kousal fouled unnecessarily at almost the same time, and a two-minute five-on-three power play opened up in front of the home team. First, Jaks didn’t use a great opportunity, Ondřej Kaše didn’t mature at Will from the stoppage, but David Kaše hit the near post exactly.

Sukeľ then did not use the two-to-one renumbering. Nevertheless, the home players rejoiced once more before the break. David Kaše found Kirk with a great pass to cover the best gunner of the playoffs so far, who hit the far corner exactly at 19:53 and celebrated his ninth hit in the elimination fights.

From the second half, Pavlát replaced Will in the Pardubice goal and got a chance for the first time in this year’s playoffs. This impulse worked in a flash. In the 23rd minute, Košťálek took advantage of Tomko’s obscured view, three minutes later Čerešňák made the same move and it was equalized at once.

In the 27th minute, Ondřej Kaše could have given the home team the lead, but Pavlát was against it. Then a distressed Kirk rushed at him, but was unable to shoot him. In the 30th minute, Pánik hit Abdul in the head with his shoulder, and the referees headed to the video to review the intervention. Somewhat surprisingly, only a two-minute penalty remained.

Pardubice defended themselves and immediately scored two goals. After a great interplay with Hyka, Sedlák completed a turn into the open goal, and 99 seconds later Poulíček also celebrated his goal. A moment later, Zajíček replaced Tomek, so the fourth goalkeeper also got into the action.

In the third period, the goal tug-of-war stopped. The East Bohemians carefully guarded their hard-won lead. In the 47th minute, he could revive the hopes of home team Kudrna, but he failed. Then when Panik came through, it seemed to be definitively clear.

But in the 53rd minute, Zile was reduced thanks to a used power play, and 104 seconds later he arranged a dramatic ending with a successful stop by Koblas. Hlava and David Kaše had other chances. Three minutes before the end of regular time, the home team played without a goalkeeper, but they were unable to equalize.
