FThe presidential candidate for the Realizing Goals and Alliance party alliance, José Raúl Mulino, visited La Chorrera on the afternoon of April 24, 2024, where he reiterated prosperity and great works for this community such as the extension of the Panama Metro, the culmination of the La Pesa viaduct and the construction of the La Arenosa water treatment plant, which will provide a solution to the problem of lack of drinking water throughout Western Panama.
Mulino, along with supporters and candidates from RM and Alianza, said that in his Government La Chorrera and Arraiján will leave the status of a dormitory city and large neighborhoods without drinking water. Lilia Batista, current deputy and current candidate, Abdiel Medina, candidate for mayor, as well as candidates for representatives participated.
“We will give priority to the conclusion of all these pending works that will help bring Panama City closer in time to the communities of La Chorerra, and which will give a better quality of life to its residents,” commented Mulino, who also referred upon the return of the Jumbo stores to bring quality food to Panamanians at low prices, as was done successfully during the government of Ricardo Martinelli.
He said that it will be a way to help local producers by buying their harvest and marketing the product through a network of Jumbo Tientas so that it reaches the cost price.
“This is a way to bring Chen Chen to the people as I promised together with Ricardo Martinelli, because we already did it and it will be done better again,” said the presidential candidate.
Added to this are other proposals with the aim of returning the good economic times to the Panamanian, among them the largest first job program, the entrepreneur’s house project, and soft financing for the farmer. The latter is that La Chorrera represents one of the main areas dedicated to agro-exports, with pineapple being the star product.
Mulino reiterated to those present that on May 5 they are going to take care of that vote: “we are going to win with votes and don’t be fooled or it is 6 or it is 7, one of the two, not the 2. Go vote and return to school to count those votes.”
