Overcoming Physical Challenges: How One Woman Prepared for a Grueling Test of Endurance

The preparation did not always go smoothly. “My hip is my weak spot, which made walking difficult. Until six months ago, I walked very slowly for a maximum of 40 minutes a week with a friend. And even then I had to pay attention,” says Haïke. “I have gradually built up, receive walking guidance and go to an osteopath. I do a lot of stabilization exercises and cycle to train my muscles.”

“I also did a heat test and it showed that my body is not sweating enough. That is why I went into the sauna with my clothes on to teach my body to sweat. Mentally I am completely ready, the question now is what my body will do. But I’m not going to give up, only the medical team can stop me.”
