The regional under-19 and senior badminton championship was held in Valencia, a must-see event to be able to attend the Spanish championships that will be held in the coming months.
In the U19 there was a full field for the country players Mateo Fernández and Miguel Payà, who won the men’s doubles. Miguel was also the individual champion, leaving Mateo as a semi-finalist.
In the senior category, several podiums were achieved. Sergio Nieto rose twice as champion (in singles A1-A2 and in doubles A1-A2 with his partner Pablo Marco). Loli López and María Poveda were runners-up in doubles B1-B2, and María third in mixed doubles A1-A2 with her partner Toni Martínez. Finally, Juan Antonio López was a semifinalist in doubles B1-B2 with his partner Julio Martín.
