Olivier Giroud seems ready to take on a new challenge far from European fields, despite a tempting offer from Saudi Arabia.
Currently meeting with the French team, the French striker, whose contract with AC Milan is coming to an end, is heading towards a possible adventure across the Atlantic, in the United States, more precisely at Los Angeles FC. Despite an offer of 10 million euros net per season from a Saudi club, Giroud reportedly declined the offer, preferring to continue his career in Major League Soccer (MLS) alongside his former teammate Hugo Lloris.
This choice could, however, deprive him of participation in the Paris Olympic Games next July, a situation which represents a new blow for Thierry Henry, coach of the French Olympic team. Already deprived of Antoine Griezmann and probably Kylian Mbappé, the loss of Olivier Giroud would further weaken the team, even if the 37-year-old is considering a new stage in his career which promises to be full of exciting challenges.
