OK CLUB Imperia Athletes Shine at National Judo Kata Grand Prix

Great success for the National Judo Kata Grand Prix which took place at the FIJLKAM Regional Technical Center in Castel Maggiore in the province of Bologna.

The race, organized by the Emilia Romagna Regional Committee, saw the participation of a large number of athletes from all over Italy.

Among the protagonists of the day, Renato Cumia (Tori) and Emanuele Chidda (Uke) from OK CLUB Imperia from Imperia, who ranked second in the Kodokan Goshin Jutsu A1 category. A high level performance for the two athletes, who came close to first place, with a few points behind the pair of Piedmontese athletes.

The OK CLUB athletes from Imperia have once again demonstrated their talent and preparation, confirming themselves among the best interpreters of the kata at a national level.

Their performance at the National Kata Grand Prix of Castel Maggiore is an important step towards the Italian Absolute Kata Championship, which will be held in the first week of July at the Federal Olympic Center in Ostia.

On the occasion of the Italian Championship, the Cumia – Chidda couple will once again be competing to win the Italian title. The challenge promises to be very demanding, but the two athletes from Imperia are ready to give their all to achieve their goal.

The competition was a real success, which contributed to promoting Judo Kata in Italy and making the value of this sporting discipline known.
