OJ Simpson has passed from sporting triumphs to a judicial trial which captured the attention of the whole world.

Considered one of the greatest players in football history, he played for eleven seasons in the NFL, first with the Buffalo Bills (with whom he won six Super Bowls), then with the San Francisco 49ers. After retiring from the football field, he dedicated himself to cinema and television (among others, he played the role of Agent Nordberg in the series A blunt bullet).

In 1994 it was accused of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and a friend, Ronald Lyle Goldman. There was a daring chase in Los Angeles, broadcast live on TV, which culminated in his arrest. What followed was what was called the “trial of the century”, which divided public opinion: the prosecution focused on his violent character, while the defense introduced the issue of racial discrimination. Despite the substantial evidence against him, Simpson was acquitted. In 2008 he ended up in prison anyway, but for another crime: fu sentenced to 33 years for armed robbery and kidnapping. During his detention, he maintained good behavior and was granted parole.
