For the first time since 2015, Novak Djokovic is in the semi-finals of the ATP 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo. The Serb beats Alex De Minaur.

Djokovic defeated the Australian Wawrinka conqueror 7:5, 6:4 in the quarterfinals of the clay court tournament. “I suffered, but I’m happy about my progress,” said the world number one. Djokovic also managed to get revenge: at the beginning of the year he had to admit defeat to De Minaur in the United Cup.
In the semifinals, Djokovic will face Norwegian Casper Ruud. Djokovic has already won the tournament in Monte Carlo twice (2013 and 2015), but in the last 7 events he has never made it past the quarter-finals.
In the quarterfinals, Rune was the “Sinner”
In the other semi-final, the Italian Jannik Sinner and the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas face each other. The in-form Sinner had to go into the additional round against Holger Rune. The Dane got into a fight with the audience in the final phase of the second set and, after a subsequent warning, with the chair referee.
