I invited from the ballad Deep Cutthe former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, winner of seven Super Bowls and retired since 2023, said he would study the idea if asked.

“I’m not opposed to it,” Brady, 46, said when asked if he would pick up the phone in case a team called him.

The ex-quarterback aims to become a team owner – he is currently a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders – which could be incompatible with a playing role.

“I don’t know if they (the NFL) are going to let me become a team owner. I will always be in good shape. I will still be able to throw the ball. I don’t know if they would let me come back much like MJ (Michael Jordan). But I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

After announcing his retirement at the beginning of 1999, Jordan returned to service in the NBA in 2001. Then co-owner of the Washington Wizards, he wore the jersey until 2003.

Widely considered the best quarterback in NFL history, Brady retired in 2023. He won six Super Bowls with the Patriots, before adding a seventh with the Bucs in 2021.

The star is set to take a lucrative consulting job with Fox Sports starting next season and the former quarterback said he’s looking forward to the new experience. “I like the challenge of trying something different in my life.”
