A new brand has just opened at 11 bis avenue des Pyrénées, close to the Macif premises. Racquet Sports – Muret will delight fans of tennis, paddle, badminton, squash, table tennis, Basque pelota and piekle ball (a discipline which comes to us from the United States and which is generally played in doubles with a ball in plastic). Added to this vast, perfectly ordered exhibition of materials are stylish clothing and sports shoes; all displayed in a sales area of 120 m².
The brand was created in 2011 by Jean-Luc Playa and Elodie Mansuy, two experts in racquet sports. First in Toulouse – Purpan, then the development of the company continued in Balma then since the end of February in Muret.
The Muretan boutique is managed by Jean-Baptiste Saunard, 30 years old, from the world of the little yellow ball. Originally from Labarthe-sur-Lèze, he linked his commercial training to good level tennis (ranked 15/3) and paddle tennis. He is delighted to work in Muret where he did his secondary education.
The brand’s DNA, unique to Muret, is truly specialist in racket sports.
“My objective is of course to develop the store and create partnerships with the many racquet clubs in the region and in particular the Muret Tennis Club and its president Daniel Vanschendel, whom I have already met,” he specifies. He is already working with the league and the departmental tennis committee which have recognized the Sports Raquettes company as an expert in stringing different rackets on circuits and in private homes. In the coming days a sign will be installed which will bring more visibility to the store.
