Nettuno Baseball 1945 presented, within the framework of the council chamber of the Municipality, the team that will participate in the next Serie A baseball championship, whose first match is represented, on April 20th, by the home match of Steno Borghese against the Marshes.
The prefectural commissioner will do the honors Antonio Reppucci, who welcomed the clubs and players: “I am not an expert in baseball but I have begun to get to know it recently – admitted the Prefect – sport in general has a great social importance which must be recognized, in addition to the competitive one. We hope that this team can revive the glories of the past and I assure you that we will be close to it: it is an important reality that bears the name of the city throughout Italy and we hope that it can also overcome national borders. We will try to do our part in the best possible way.”
The word then passed to the president of Nettuno Bc 1945 Massimiliano Zazza: “I thank the Municipality, the managers and all the municipal offices for the great work they have done to allow us to start the season at Steno Borghese – explained the president – and another big thank you goes to all our managers and collaborators of the club that operate on a daily basis. We are planning substantial changes for a long-term project, with investments in sports marketing that can help the company grow and initiatives and events that can help us disseminate and promote our activities. At the end of last season Steno Borghese returned to the Municipality and immediate action was taken to allow us to play in 2024 inside the city stadium. When the tender for the concession of the structure is presented, we intend to participate and we will be able to present a broader project for its development”.
He manages Roberto De Franceschi he instead spoke more about the technical issue and this season now upon us: “I am proud of this group that has been made available to me – he commented – more than three quarters of the team is local and we have strengthened ourselves by hiring the right foreigners for the roles we had to fill. I believe we will be very competitive and within our group we will be able to have our say. The minimum objective is reaching the playoffs, the maximum objective is the dream.”
