ON READING POINT
“It was great that we were able to equalise so quickly after we lost the second goal. Again, it’s just a bit unfortunate I think that we’ve missed really good opportunities to go ahead. In these types of game, especially at home, it would be great to go ahead. We had chances at 0-0. We had a great chance at 1-1 we didn’t quite get. These little moments, but it says a lot that the team responded really quickly. We did everything to get that winning goal and we couldn’t quite get it. I thought they showed a lot of character on Saturday.”
ON INJURIES
“Jon came off early on Saturday. It’s still less than 48 hours after that, we’re still assessing the extent of that. Luca’s happened on Friday, so not much longer. Both will be late decisions for tomorrow night. There is nothing else to report.”
IS FABIO JALO
“It’s absolutely fantastic. Fabio has shown in glimpses, when he’s had opportunities, what he can do. He was unfortunate that he picked up an injury when he did then went on international duty. We probably missed him in a couple of those games in the type of games that they were. He’s came in the last two or three games and had opportunities. He should have had his first league goal against Charlton, it was cruelly chalked off. He got his goal on Saturday, hopefully it’s the first of many.”
ON PORTSMOUTH
“Their consistency has been their main thing. They’ve been consistently very good. In possession they pass it well, they keep a lot of possession. They’ve obviously got people at the top end of the pitch that are ruthless. Great wingers, a striker that has scored 20 goals. Right through their side they’re just very strong. Very good out of possession. Probably the most rounded team in the league, and there are some very good sides above us.”
