NBA Last Day Showcases Intense Playoffs and Play-in Scenarios

The last day of the NBA was held again in international time, with two different bands for East and West, under many pressures that made the show even better for the fans. Many positions to settle in just a few hours. And the Celtics, as first in the conference, were joined by the Thunder on the other side of the table, a true milestone for the franchise led by Mark Daigneault on the bench.

In a final draw, the Thunder, tied (57-25) with the champions Nuggets, took the lead in the conference. Minnesota Timberwolves, 3rd, fell from the trio on the last day, suffering a blow from the Suns, 6th, with whom they will also face in the first round of the playoffs. It was a double victory for those from Arizona: avoiding the additional round and choosing a rival they know they can beat. The defending champion did not reach first position although he tied with first. Below, the Suns tied the direct access by throwing the Pelicans into the well, 7th, losers against the Lakers who will also be measured in play-in. And the game is about doubles. The Kings and the Warriors of Garuba, present with four rebounds and two blocks, will have the hardest work to continue in the tournament.

The last evening with the NBA was also busy in the eastern part of the United States. The fight focused, in an interesting and unsibylline way, on the second, third and fourth positions. Between them, due to the results that occurred below when Magic and Pacers won, they were at stake whether or not to face Embiid’s dangerous Sixers in the first round. Two got off the wagon, the Bucks and the Cavaliers, and the Knicks did fight for that merit to the end.

From the rest of Sunday there are other notable things: in Indianapolis the Pacers scored 49 in one quarter, 86 in two and a total of 157, close to the record for a team without the need for overtime; against a genius like Nikola Jokic, the young GG Jackson took advantage to score 44 on his account; the Mavericks lost by 49 without Doncic and Irving, the Blazers lost by 39 without the losses being an excuse for them; Outside of the numbers and yes in the absences chapter we can count Victor Wembanyama in the Spurs and Joel Embiid in the Sixers, but in the case of the latter his participation in the next match is guaranteed.
