The NBA is continuing its betting investigation into Jontay Porter, Toronto Raptors player and brother of Nuggets winger Michael Porter Jr. Jontay risks a lifetime ban from the NBA, as highlighted by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. “There is nothing more serious, I believe, in this championship when it comes to gambling and betting on our matches and this is a direct involvement of the players. The investigation is ongoing, but the consequences could be very serious.”
The Jontay Porter case broke out at the end of March. In particular, the investigations focus on two matches, one on January 26th and one on March 20th, in which the bets relating to Porter’s performance increased significantly.
