Dennis Schröder will be able to prepare for the Olympic Games in peace and quiet. The next bankruptcy of the Brooklyn Nets has almost sealed the fact that they will miss the play-offs. The German world champion sparks an argument.

Dennis Schröder and the Brooklyn Nets have virtually no chance of making the play-offs after their next defeat in the NBA. The world champion captain from Germany also got into an argument with his opponent Jalen Smith during the Brooklyn Nets’ 111:133 win against the Indiana Pacers.

In the middle of the third quarter, Schröder accidentally ripped off his opponent’s glasses when his hand landed in Smith’s face during a throw attempt. The Indiana professional then lost his nerve and pushed Schröder with his hands, and both basketball players had to be separated from teammates and supervisors. Schröder received a technical foul in the scene on Monday evening, and Smith was even thrown off the pitch.

Because the Atlanta Hawks won their game at the Chicago Bulls 113:101, the Nets’ deficit to tenth place in the Eastern Conference can only theoretically be made up. The Nets won the direct comparison. Another win by the Hawks or another defeat by the Nets will decide the battle for the last place for the play-in before the play-offs.

The Nets will meet the Pacers again on Wednesday evening at the Barclays Center in New York, while the Hawks will play at the same time against the Detroit Pistons – the worst team in the league.

Wagner brothers on course

Schröder’s world champion colleagues Franz Wagner and Moritz Wagner, on the other hand, are getting closer and closer to participating in the play-offs with the Orlando Magic. The team won 104:103 against the Portland Trail Blazers and defended their lead over the Pacers in fifth place. Franz Wagner was his team’s best scorer with 20 points, while Moritz Wagner scored eight points in twelve minutes off the bench.
