In the TC series, Indonesia played two test matches against Saudi Arabia (5/4/2024) and the UAE (8/4/2024).

STY believes that the two matches that have been played can prepare the team for the match, especially against Qatar and Jordan.

Indonesia will face Qatar as the host in the opening match.

Qatar has experience appearing four times in the U23 Asian Cup. Their best achievement was when they finished third in the 2018 tournament.

Apart from that, Qatar is also the defending champion in the last two editions of the senior Asian Cup.

“I think the Qatar U23 team is one of the strongest teams in this tournament. Of course I have to build the confidence of the Indonesian players so they can get out of the pressure and show our strength in this event,” said STY.

Ahead of this match, Garuda Muda received additional new ammunition to add depth to the team.
