MotoGP, the Austin weekend begins with Pecco Bagnaia immediately called to respond

After two weeks of rest, the MotoGP is back on stage. The premier class is preparing to kick off its third round of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship, the Grand Prix of the Americas. We will compete, as has become tradition, on the splendid COTA – Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas) for a stage of capital importance.

Today we will start with the first two sessions, one of free practice and one of pre-qualifying, which will begin to tell us something clearer about the real values on the track. Work on the track will start at 5.45pm Italian time (10.45am Texan time) with the first free practice session, then at 10pm we will return to action with 60 immediately decisive minutes.

The number one special guard can only be Francesco Bagnaia. The two-time world champion, in fact, is fresh from the heavy “zero” in Portimao (with the famous contact with Marc Marquez) and must shake himself up on the track where a year ago he threw away a victory that already seemed like a done deal. Jorge Martin he already seems very ready to push hard, as he also demonstrated in Portugal and he absolutely doesn’t want to stop.

It will therefore be up to “Pecco” to respond immediately so as not to let his number one rival escape. There will be no shortage of ideas surrounding their duel. Enea Bastianini wants to reiterate that he is back fighting for the title, therefore obviously pay attention to Marc Marquez, often dominant on this track. KTM, Aprilia and Yamaha want to get into the fight. In short, starting today we will experience an absolutely exciting Texan weekend.
