“Montjuïc and Camp Nou, it really has nothing to do with each other”: what does the stadium where PSG will play on Tuesday look like?

In less than a year, FC Barcelona will play in an ultra-modern stadium, a welcome source of income during these lean times in Catalonia. In a year, it will be the new generation “Spotify Camp Nou”, which will be able to accommodate more than 105,000 spectators in optimal conditions. And in the meantime, Barça plays at the Montjuïc Olympic stadium, well known to the French since Marie-José Pérec won the 400m gold medal there during the 1992 Olympics.

If the neighboring club Espanyol Barcelona played there until 2010, Montjuïc, which will host the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League between Barça and PSG, is not a football stadium as we imagine it today. Located on the heights of the city, it overlooks the bay alongside tourist hotspots in a postcard setting. But obviously, everything is not rosy.
