April 5th is a date that any Modena fan knows by heart, in fact the birthday of the yellow and blue club falls on this day, the 112th to be precise this year; the result of a merger between the Audax Football Club and the Student Football Association which in April 1912 gave life to the new association for which they chose the same colors as the Emilian municipality, namely yellow and blue.
For the occasion, a large group of “canary” supporters will be present in the immediate vicinity of the Stadium Braglia. As far as I can tell, there were around 400 people present on this Friday evening. Behind the banner MODENA they show off the flags of the main groups of the Curva Gigi Montagnanicreating a beautiful atmosphere thanks to the help of numerous torches lit for several minutes.
The singing repertoire of the Modena ultras is also excellent, ranging from the classic choirs for their team, to friends who have been warned, but also with an eye on the most heartfelt rivalries (Bologna, Cesena and Reggiana first and foremost), an excellent demonstration of affection from the supporters geminiani towards their team, even if they are not doing very well in the last period (the last victory dates back to the end of January against Parma).
Even the day after the birthday, in the Stadium Set Yourself Free of Terni, the Geminian fans perform a choreography to celebrate the birthday of Modena FC: various yellow cards imprinted with the first historic logo of the club, which, to tell the truth, is the same as the Emilian town, flanked by the banner “OUR PRIDE ”.
So 112 years have passed but it is clear that the love for crime novels never goes away.
