Mexican judokas won silver and bronze at the Panamerican – Oceania Junior Championships 2024

A trio of Mexican judokas managed to climb to the podium of the Panamerican – Oceania Junior Championships 2024, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where they won two silver medals and one bronze.

The records of the triumph of the representatives of Mexico were recorded in the results list of the Pan American Judo Confederation (CPJ), where other nationals were placed in position 5 and 7 of this event held on April 23.

In these records, it is noted that the winners of the silver medal were Aylín Ávila, in the -52 kilograms, along with Frida Maya, -57 kg., while the bronze medal was thanks to María Cruz, -63 kg.

In this same list, where it is stated that 170 competitors from 17 nations attended the Panamerican – Oceania Junior Championships 2024, it was recorded that the Mexicans who placed in position 5 were Renata Sandoval, -70 kg; Paula Constanza Sánchez Ledesma, -78 kg; Carlos Maximiliano Hernández Macías, – kg; and Gerardo Castelán, +100 kg

As for those who reached 7th position, they were Monserrat Mosqueda López, -57 kg, as well as Alejandro Martínez Sánchez, -81 kg.

With these results, the Mexican team placed 6th in the overall medal table, below Brazil, who ranked first, followed by the United States, Canada, Ecuador and Colombia.
