WANT IT, Qro. April 15, 2024.- The young Mexican goalkeeper Matías Grande Kalionchiz gave a coup of authority at the continental level this Sunday, after becoming champion in the Pan American Championship of the Medellín 2024 specialty.

At just 19 years of age, three of them as a national team and the best in his discipline in our country, the Guanajuato native obtained his first gold medal in the individual event on the international scene, thanks to his 6-4 victory over the American Jackson. Mirich, a rival whom he faced in the final of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and who emerged victorious on that occasion.

Grande Kalionchiz, who last year obtained a quota for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, not only had her revenge against the North American goalkeeper, since she also won a silver medal for mixed teams along with Alejandra Valencia Trujillo, after falling agonizingly against Marcus D ‘ Almeida and Luiza Caetano, from Brazil, in a clash defined by a golden arrow (4-5).
