The first round was very tight, with both players firm with their deliveries and where only Jaime Fillol’s grandson had a break option, in the fourth game, but he missed it. For this reason, the set was decided in a tiebreak where the Chilean wasted a 3-1 advantage.
The second episode was even worse for the pupil of Juan Ignacio Chela and César Fábregas, because he wasted break points in the first and third games and gave up his serve in the second to quickly fall 3-0 down.
