Marco Cesari Wins Archery World Championship in Slovenia

Marco Cesarioriginally from Serravalle Pistoieseit became archery world champion at the silhouette.

During the championship that is taking place these days in Slovenia, Cesari obtained 2446 points, at the end of three days of very intense and hard-fought competitions.

The shooter from Pistoia preceded the Slovakian Jakub Malek, reassembled on the final day, and l’austriaco Johannes Windlroither, who had to settle for second and third place respectively.

The competition saw shooters battle it out three routes for a total of 28 pitches, having only one arrow available to hit three-dimensional shapes placed at distances varying from 5 to 45 meters.

The championships were organized by IAA (International Archery Association). Marco Cesari participated in the national selection, representing the FIDASC (the Italian Federation of hunting sporting weapons disciplines).
