Hüsler with two wins in a row for the first time since 2022
Marc-Andrea Hüsler (ATP 233) is in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Munich. The 27-year-old confidently defeated the German Yannick Hanfmann (ATP 61) 6:2, 6:4 in the second round. After more than a year and a half, Hüsler once again strung together two victories on the tour. The last time he achieved this was in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia on the way to his only tournament victory at an ATP event. From the Swiss perspective, the game couldn’t have started worse. The Zurich player had to give up his first service game. However, he had a strong reaction. Hüsler, who only slipped into the main draw through qualification, will meet number 2 seeded Dane Holger Rune, number 12 in the ATP rankings, in the quarterfinals.
