A great display this Sunday evening in Ligue 1. The 29th day of Ligue 1 will end with the match between Olympique Lyonnais and Stade Brestois, at 8:45 p.m. at Groupama Stadium. Winners against Nantes last week (3-1), the Lyonnais receive the second in Ligue 1.
Both teams remain in good shape. Brest have only lost once in Ligue 1 since the start of the calendar year. For its part, Lyon, after a very difficult first part of the season, is back on track in the league and qualified for the final of the Coupe de France.
The Rhone residents can still hope to qualify for a European Cup through Ligue 1. They are currently tenth in the championship, five points behind Lens, sixth. Stade Brestois is almost certain to participate in a European campaign next year, but its runner-up place is threatened by Monaco, third with one point less.
During the first leg, Stade Brestois beat Olympique Lyonnais thanks to a goal at the very end of the match. His striker, Steve Mounié, scored in the 87th minute. After this match, Brest took the lead in the ranking, while Lyon was 17th.
