Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson named NBA Players of the Month; Wembanyama and Miller awarded Best Rookies

New York, Apr 2 (EFE).- Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks) and Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks) were chosen this Tuesday as the best players of the month of March in the NBA in the West and the East, respectively, while Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs) and Brandon Miller (Charlotte Hornets) took the award for best rookie in their respective conferences.

Doncic, who had already been the best player in the West in February, repeated it in March thanks to an average of a triple-double with 32.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game. The Mavericks finished that month with a record of 11-4.

This is the fifth NBA player of the month recognition for the Slovenian genius.

For his part, Brunson, the best player in the East in March, averaged 28.8 points and 5.8 assists per game with 48.1% shooting from the field. The Knicks closed the month with a 9-5 record.

As for the rookies, Wembanyama, the best of the West’s rookies in March, dazzled with 23.2 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks on average per game.

This is the third straight rookie of the month honor for the Spurs’ French prodigy.

Finally, Miller, who has also won the rookie of the month award three times in a row (in his case in the East), achieved 18.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists on average per game.
