The Parisian coach spoke after his team’s defeat against FC Barcelona (2-3) in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League.

His analysis of the match: “Obviously it’s a defeat that we don’t like. We had some good moments, but after the opening score, we had doubts. Barça played very well, at the break we changed things and our performance was better. We alternated between good moments and delicate moments but in the end, this result is not positive.
His initial idea with Asensio starting and Zaire-Emery replacing: “The only person who can see the training sessions is me. This is what I work for. I thought that the players lined up from the start were the most likely to succeed. This was not the case, I accept the criticism.”

If PSG failed in its emotional management: “No, we didn’t fish on emotions. We managed them well. When you concede goals at home, it’s a delicate moment but you have to get used to it. The return to Barcelona will be a final and we must win it. We must congratulate our opponents for their victory and their performance.”
Mbappé’s missed meeting: “I don’t want to talk about an individual player, but about the team, about my work, I am responsible for the result. So we shouldn’t talk about individuals.”
