Loué Judo Club Hosts Free Self-Defense Course at Michel-Provost Dojo

This month of April, the Loué judo club organized a self-defense course at the Michel-Provost dojo. Open to all and free, it concerned licensees but also novices.

Around fifteen people participated in this course given by Professor Aurélie Launay, 3rd dan black belt in judo. Didier Chapeau, president: “ Aurélie began the class with explanations of the different defense options, all in accordance with the law and proportional to the attack. Then, the trainees participated in a series of exercises to put them in a situation and teach them how to protect their lifeline, as well as defense techniques. It all ended with typing exercises. It was a practical and comprehensive approach to learning self-defense while respecting legal rules and principles of proportionality. Taiso and self-defense classes take place on Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ».
