Lorient-PSG (1-4): another record for Paris with a 22nd unbeaten away match in Ligue 1

The Parc des Princes is already a very difficult citadel to conquer. But in addition, for a little over a year, PSG has also been traveling extremely well. Although a draw would have been enough to achieve this great achievement, PSG, thanks to their big victory at the Moustoir stadium in Lorient (1-4), established a new record in Ligue 1 with a 22nd match without defeat at the exterior.

It has been precisely 438 days – or 1 year, 2 months and 13 days – since PSG last lost away from home in Ligue 1. The last time, it was a dry and clear defeat on the pitch of Monaco, February 11, 2023 (3-1). Since then, the capital club has brought home at least one point, sometimes twice, from Marseille, Brest, Nice, Angers, Troyes, Auxerre, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Lyon, Clermont, Rennes, Reims, Le Havre, Lille, Lens, Nantes, Monaco, Montpellier and therefore Lorient, for a clear record: 17 wins, 5 draws, 50 goals scored and only 14 conceded.

The previous holder of this record in Ligue 1 was the great Olympique Lyonnais of the 2000s, who had gone 21 away games without defeat between March 2005 and April 2006. PSG is rather angry with the defeat this season: the last in Ligue 1 dates back to September, against Nice at home (2-3), and PSG had gone 27 consecutive games without defeat in all competitions between November 2023, and its setback on the San Siro pitch against AC Milan (2-1), and the month of April, with its defeat against Barça at the Parc des Princes (2-3).
