LeBron James Leads Lakers to Victory, Nuggets Face Elimination

LeBron James and the Lakers didn’t intend to be defeated so easily.

Facing elimination, James released his best game of the series with 30 points to lead the Lakers to a 119-108 victory against the Denver Nuggets, which therefore allows Los Angeles to buy a little time and reduce the series to 3-1.

And King James did well, the same can be said of Anthony Davis. AD excelled under the ring with 23 rebounds and added 25 points to support James.

D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves each added 21 points.

The Lakers had a strong start to the game, which allowed them to build a 13-point lead midway through the game. The last two quarters were closer, but Los Angeles managed to hold on to its lead to triumph.

True to form, Nikola Jokic had a good game with an impressive hat-trick of 33 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists. He was supported by Michael Porter Jr.’s 27 points and Jamal Murray’s 22 points.

The Nuggets’ substitutes were, however, limited to five small points, compared to 13 for those of the Lakers.

The series will continue Monday evening in Denver, with Game 5.

The Pelicans still powerless against the Thunder

The New Orleans Pelicans no longer have room for error.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey took charge Saturday afternoon to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 106-85 victory over the Pelicans, who now have their backs against the wall.

Trailing 0-3 in the series, the Pelicans will try to avoid the sweep Monday night.

Gilgeous-Alexander was the Thunder’s best offensive player with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists, while Josh Giddey and Jalen Williams each scored 21 points in the victory.

Quebecer Luguentz Dort collected 12 points in addition to adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

After taking a slim four-point lead in the first quarter, the Thunder took off before halftime by adding 10 points to their lead.

No Pelicans player reached the 20-point plateau in the loss. Brandon Ingram had 19 points, while CJ McCollum provided 16 points and Herbert Jones added 15 points.
