The team returned home from Hong Kong on Wednesday, and on Wednesday morning national team coach Raimonds Feldmanis and player Sigmars Raimo visited the news program “900 seconds”, who were ready to talk about the emotions gained during the qualification and how they will prepare for the Olympics!

“Relief and great satisfaction,” adds Feldmanis.

Specialist Raimonds Feldmanis was relieved that this work was completed quickly enough, because there was no lack of excitement in this process.

The Latvian 3×3 men’s basketball team, consisting of Agni Čavaras, Franci Lāci, Nauri Miezi and Zigmāras Raimo, won all games in the qualifying tournament in Hong Kong and secured a place in the Paris Olympic Games, joining Serbia, the USA and China.

With the fact that they managed to qualify for the Olympic Games so quickly, the Latvian 3×3 basketball team gained time to be able to prepare for them purposefully.

True, the team now has to deal with its plans, because until now all the work was focused on the qualifying tournament. Previously, Miezis, Lasmanis and Chavars also announced that they would not participate in the Paris Olympic Games if athletes from Russia and Belarus could compete in them.
