Last Tourist Tianguis of the six-year period begins – El Sol de México

Acapulco.- The last Tourist Tianguis of the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador started this Wednesday with the promise of the rebirth of Guerrero, almost six months after the impact of Hurricane Otis.

The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), Miguel Torruco, acknowledged that this edition of the largest industry event in the country seemed impossible after the ravages of the hurricane, but that it was achieved thanks to the participation of businessmen, civil society and the three orders of government.

“When there is participation and coordination, everything is possible,” declared the official when cutting the inaugural ribbon of the event.

The governor of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado, agreed that it is a market that seemed impossible to carry out, after the damage that the entity suffered due to the passage of Hurricane Otis in October of last year.

“The Tianguis has to say goodbye with honors, with all the gratitude of the people of Guerrero. It is a historic Tianguis, because it seemed impossible to happen, we are strong and standing,” he stated.
