In this competition, which will be a festival with spectators for the first time in 8 years, our team is expecting to win around 6 gold medals.

The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics flame will be lit at the Temple of Hera in Olympia, Greece, the birthplace of the ancient Olympic Games.

This Olympics, which opens on July 26th local time, is expected to be the first Summer Olympics in eight years with spectators.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the previous competition, was held a year later than scheduled and virtually without spectators due to the aftermath of COVID-19.

The slogan of this Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris, the capital of France, exactly 100 years after 1924, is ‘Completely Open Games.’

In line with the slogan, the opening ceremony will be held outdoors for the first time in the Summer Olympics.

The stage will be the Seine River that runs through Paris and Place Trocadero next to the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris.

The Korean team, which won six gold medals at the last Tokyo Games, is expecting a similar level of performance at this tournament.

Traditionally strong sports such as women’s team archery and men’s fencing saber, which are aiming for their 10th consecutive Olympic title, will be in the medal field.

Badminton queen Ahn Se-young, swimming Hwang Sun-woo and Kim Woo-min, and track and field high jumper Woo Sang-hyuk are also considered Taegeuk warriors who will brighten Paris.

As a large number of ball sports such as men’s and women’s basketball, men’s handball, and women’s soccer missed out on tickets to the finals, our team size, which is expected to be around 170, is the smallest since the 1976 Montreal Games.

Meanwhile, North Korea, which did not participate in the Tokyo Olympics, is likely to participate in the Summer Olympics for the first time in eight years since the 2016 Rio Games in Brazil.

Russia, which invaded Ukraine, and Belarusian players, who aided Russia in this process, can only compete as personal neutrals, unable to use their national flag or anthem.
