Last weekend, from 12 to 14 April 2024, Brøndby hosted the coveted VICTOR UDM (Youth Denmark Championships) in badminton. Among the many participating clubs, Kolding Badminton Club shone particularly brightly with their impressive performances.
A total of 11 youth players from Kolding Badminton Club took part in the championship, and they returned home with an impressive collection of medals. The club secured a total of seven medals, including two gold medals, one silver medal and four bronze medals.
Among the proud winners was Julie Søgaard, who showed her talent by becoming double Danish champion in the U15E category. Julie achieved this impressive performance both in the singles discipline and in women’s doubles together with her partner, Filippa Østergaard Salomonsson.
The impressive result continued with a special honor when Badminton Denmark named Player of the Year in the various age groups. In the U15E category, Julie Søgaard was named Player of the Year.
