In a close game, the Kansas City Royals won 3-2 against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday evening at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium.

The Blue Jays won 5-3 on Monday.

The work of the two starting pitchers was certainly not impeccable. On the visitors’ side, Kevin Gaussman (0-3) suffered defeat. In 6.2 innings played, he allowed seven hits and three runs from his opponents. On the Royals side, Michael Wacha allowed the Blue Jays players to hit the ball eight times to safety. However, it was Chris Stratton (2-1) who was credited with the victory.

The game, however, started well for the Queen City club (13-11). Justin Turner, who is having a remarkable start to the season, opened the scoring with a single that allowed George Springer and Bo Bichette to score.

Turner then crossed the plate himself on a sacrifice fly from Alejandro Kirk.

The Royals (14-10), however, took matters into their own hands afterward, taking advantage of a double from Bobby Witt Jr in the fifth inning.

Toronto and Kansas City will cross swords again on Wednesday evening.

The Twins and Julien were hot

On the side of the Minnesota Twins (9-13) of Édouard Julien, the result was much more brilliant than that of the Blue Jays. Even though it was far from easy, they won 6 to 5 against the Chicago White Sox (3-20).

The Minnesota team lost 5 to 2 in the eighth inning, but they then rallied to win. It was Alex Kirilloff’s double that ultimately gave the Twins victory.

Julien, however, did not have as successful a meeting as Monday against the same White Sox, he who had produced two runs. On Tuesday, he was pulled twice in four at-bats, but still managed to get to the plate in the eighth inning on a Trevor Larnach bomb.

On the Illinois club side, Eloy Jimenez scored the only home run for the White Sox. Starter Erick Fedde was also in great form, having struck out 11 players.
