Julian Nagelsmann’s decision is imminent

In the next “five, six, seven days,” national soccer coach Julian Nagelsmann reportedly wants to decide who he will work for following the European Championships in Germany this summer. That’s what his advisor Volker Struth said in the latest episode of the “Spielmacher” podcast, which was released on Thursday.

FC Bayern is probably not the only interested club

The only candidate that has already publicly communicated its interest in Julian Nagelsmann, 36 years old, is the German Football Association (DFB), which announced in March that it would like to extend his contract early. With a view to the football clubs that are interested in his mandate, Struth said: “All I can say is, it’s not just Bayern Munich.”

It is no longer a big secret in the industry – this also coincides with FAZ information – that the coach and his advisors are currently in talks with FC Bayern, the club that Nagelsmann will join in March 2023 took a surprise leave of absence in important weeks of the season.

But the mood in Munich is said to have changed since the board members Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidžić, who made the decision at the time, have left – and the sports director Max Eberl and the sports director Christoph Freund, who highly value Nagelsmann, are there.
