SAARBRÜCKEN – Badminton player Joran Kweekel has qualified quite easily for the eighth finals of the European Championships in Saarbrücken. He was too strong for Milan Dratva from Slovakia in the second round (21-9 21-17).
Frenchman Toma Junior Popov is Kweekel’s opponent in the eighth finals. He eliminated Spaniard Pablo Abian in the second round (21-10 21-9)
Mark Caljouw can also join the last sixteen. He plays against the German Matthias Kicklitz on Wednesday evening.
