Jhon Chancellor shone in the ideal eleven of matchday 12 of the Apertura Tournament in his return to the Liga Futve after eight years wearing the colors of Metropolitanos FC.
The center back with experience in the national team made his season debut with a goal and assist in the 3-2 victory against Academia Puerto Cabello on the last day.
Chancellor already made his debut with the purple team last Thursday on the second day of the Copa Conmebol Suramericana against Cuiaba of Brazil, where he came on from the substitute bench to play the last seven minutes of the game.
The defender is coming off a serious knee injury since last September that had to undergo surgery. He left him out of the first dates of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the rest of the season with Nexaca of Mexico, so he opted to play in Venezuela again.
His last experience in Venezuelan soccer was in 2016 with Deportivo La Guaira, where he played 13 games without a goal.

Táchira shone with Castillo
In the ideal eleven of matchday 12, Deportivo Táchira stands out with Jesús Camargo in goal and Bryan Castillo as central attacker, who gave them a 1-0 victory over Carabobo FC.
In Monagas SC he appears in the eleven with Marcos Acosta as the left midfielder and Fernando Basante as the right attacker who scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory against Zamora FC.
Deportivo La Guaira saved a 2-2 draw against Rayo Zuliano with a double from Alex Custodio who appears as a right midfielder and is accompanied by central midfielder Elías Romero with a double assist.
Angostura FC shines with Aldry Contreras who opened the scoring in the 2-0 victory over Inter de Barinas. He is accompanied by Auriazul coach Osmar Castillo.
In midfield he is followed by Johan Moreno of Portuguesa FC who stood out with a goal and an assist in the 3-2 victory against Estudiantes de Mérida.
Brayan Hurtado from UCV FC appears as the left winger, who assisted in the 2-2 draw against Caracas FC, who also stands out with Edwin Pernía with a double.
Last decisive day
The next and last day will be the one that defines the six remaining places in the final phase. Eight teams separated by two points, from third to tenth, will fight to qualify and join UCV FC and Angostura FC in that instance to determine the champion of the Apertura Tournament.
