The Soriano billiard player Javi del Santo will participate this weekend in the Open FSR of Burgos. It’s the first time that A city in Castilla y León hosts such an important billiards event.

The best national pool players will be in the Castilian capital and, among them, from Soriano.

From Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14, Burgos will once again be the nerve center of billiards.

On this occasion it will be a reference at the national level and for the first time in the region the UK Open qualifier will be held, the outstanding international 9-Ball tournament in the Pool modality that is held in England.

The FSR Tournament is due to Francisco Sánchez Ruiz, currently the number one in the world, a man from Murcia who knows our autonomous community well since he has lived and trained for many years in Salamanca.

Once again, Room Fifteen, equipped with seven months of nine feet, will have the best American pool players.

It will be the only event in Spain and the top eight finishers will have a direct passport to play the UK Open.

Among the 64 players seeking the first eight places and a direct passport to England is Javi del Santo from Soriano, who is one of the favorites of our community.

The Open will begin at ten in the morning this Friday and will last until Sunday, with tables fully prepared for such an event since this week the tables have been changed.

David Arnaiz is the manager of Sala Quince and the promoter of Burgos being the first city in Castilla y León to have an event of such magnitude.

Event carried out entirely with private financing: “Despite all the effort, both human and economic, I think it is something that is worth it, that puts Burgos and Castilla y León on the billiards map and that promotes and reinforces once again the commendable work that many fans of this sport do,” he assured.
