A positive Friday for Marc Marquez. The centaur competing for Team Gresini Ducati achieved third position in the pre-qualifying sessions of the GP of the Americasfourth stage of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship.
The pilot precisely achieved a delay of +0″409 compared to the lightning Jorge Martin, winner of the session with a time of 2’01″297. Despite the result, however, the “King of COTA” he dropped himself from the list of possible winnersconsidering himself inferior to at least three-four pilots.
“Interesting day; I’m happy with the reaction because we started the day with some problems – claimed Marquez intercepted by Sky Sport’s microphones – I felt better in Portimao, but this afternoon we reacted well and I felt more comfortable.”

Marquez then talked about tomorrow: “The others? They can be close as well as far; it’s very difficult to do a flying lap on this track because there are so many braking points and it’s therefore easy to make mistakes. At the moment there are three or four stronger riders: the objective is to aim for the second row and have a good race. Martin, Vinales, Pecco and Bastianini, for example, are ahead of us“.
