The Russian was furious with the chair umpire after the latter’s error of judgment in Monte-Carlo on Wednesday.
Daniil Medvedev is as much known on the circuit for his rants against the refereeing body as for his exploits on the field. The Russian, who easily got rid of Gaël Monfils this Wednesday in Monte-Carlo in two sets (6-2, 6-4) lived up to his reputation by once again attacking a chair umpire.
