iryo, the first Spanish private High Speed ​​operator owned by the partners of Trenitalia, Air Nostrum and Globalvia, celebrates one year since the beginning of its operations in Andalusia on March 31, 2023, with 2,400,000 million passengers transported and a 32% quota in seats, as reported in a press release.

The company, which landed in the community fulfilling a historic event by breaking the monopoly that existed in it until now, currently offers an average of 24 daily services. If we break it down by route, this means 14 frequencies in the connection with Seville and 10 in the connection with

Malaga, both with a stop in Córdoba. Since last December, iryo has also operated a transversal route between Barcelona and Seville that, with a total of 4 frequencies per day, connects both capitals in a non-stop journey that lasts less than six hours.

In total figures, until the end of 2023, the operator carried out 5,000 services with Andalusia (2,900 to Seville and 2,100 to Malaga) obtaining a weighted load factor (passengers KM/seats KM) of 70% throughout the corridor.
